Description stone-grey coat with white belly and black eelstripe and shoulder cross. Also found as black or dark brown/brown with lighter markings around eyes and on muzzle. Zebra stripes often found on the lower legs. Height m: 100-110cm, f: 95-110cm, Weight: male: 133-210 kg, female: 156-185 kg

Remark "Shown at the Zoopark to teach people about mule production, great breeds and different breeds of donkeysonkeysall the breeds are also use as walk-acts with persons in traditionall war to show the former use (pack donkey, woo transport etc.) of those breeds at festivals, expositions etc. The Thuringian fores donkey is now accepted as breed. Founder animals were dwarf donkey used by farmers and millers and cahrcoal burners in the Turingian forest area. Colour is grey. All donkeys at the Zoo are used for the Zoo school, children birthday programs etc.Used to walk among visitors as ""walk-act"" for events, horse competitions"
